Doctor Christina Sim
Dr Sim firmly believes in working in a collaborative manner to ensure that young people and their families are involved in all aspects of their assessment and treatment, ensuring that they feel listened to and understood during the process. She would complete a comprehensive assessment (which combines biological, psychological, and social perspectives) and formulation, followed by a detailed treatment plan with evidence-based care.
She takes a multidisciplinary approach when working with young people and their families to establish a holistic treatment plan. This includes consideration of psychological and family interventions, as well as recommending the option of medication where appropriate. If needed, she would consult with external agencies such as schools and other professionals working with the family.
Dr Sim has a large interest in quality improvement (QI) and research. She has presented in local and international conferences and has previously won first prize in oral presentation of her research project (State of the Arts Conference) as well as best poster presentation for her QI project locally.
