Dr. Rigby trained in Bristol University, graduating in 2008 with an MBChB. He has 10 years of experience in psychiatry, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatry in 2016. He is a Section 12(2) Approved Doctor and an Approved Clinician. He undertook his specialty training in East London and Surrey and holds Certificates of Completion of Training in both General and Older Adult Psychiatry.

Dr. Rigby has experience in a number of different outpatient settings, including Crisis and Home Treatment Teams, Early Intervention in Psychosis Teams and Community Mental Health Teams and also has experience of conducting assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). He also has experience of writing medico-legal reports, specialising in immigration and capacity issues.

Dr. Rigby has a specialist interest in medical education. He completed a Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee and has worked as an Honorary Clinical Lecture at Queen Mary University of London and was a Fellow of Medical Education for North East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr. Rigby also has a special interest in Digital Psychiatry and is currently the founding co-chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrist’s Digital Special Interest. He has spoken in this field at the Royal College of Psychiatrist’s International Congress and the European Psychiatric Association’s Congress and was a conference director for PsychTech, a yearly clinical digital mental health conference.
