Dr Bensassi is a highly experienced Adult Psychiatrist with over 10 years clinical experience in the UK and France, including 3 years within the NHS. Dr Bensassi has worked within various settings, including outpatient and inpatient services.
He has gained his Medical Degree in 2016 from the World’s oldest Faculty of Medicine in Montpellier, France.
During his training Dr Bensassi has developed an interest in Affective disorders in Older adults. He published articles in International peer reviewed journals in this field.
Dr Bensassi works with adults starting from the age of 18 and has experience working with a wide range of disorders including Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Psychosis, Schizophrenia and ADHD.
Dr Bensassi is a driven and passionate Psychiatrist who completed his Medical and Psychiatry training in France. He has been working as a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry since 2016. Dr Bensassi has strong communication skills and vast experience in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of a variety of mental illnesses.
Dr Bensassi takes an empathic, person centred approach when working with people, offering different personalised options in order to establish a comprehensive and holistic treatment plan to best address people’s needs.
Dr Bensassi believes in collaborative work with patients, to empower them and involve them in all aspects of their care, addressing the option of medication where appropriate. He is an approachable Mental Health professional who has experience in elaborating robust and bespoke treatment plans to support people pursuing their life goals.
