Bio
I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in psychiatry, including more than 10 years working as a Consultant Psychiatrist for the NHS. I provide compassionate, personalized care for adults experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties such as depression, stress and anxiety, ADHD, bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders.
I have completed my BSc, MBBS medical degree, MSc, and PGCMedEd at University College London (UCL) and undertook my postgraduate psychiatric training in North London. I obtained my Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and gained my CCT in General Adult Psychiatry, as well as having Section 12 approval from the Secretary of State. I have been working for the East London NHS Foundation Trust for over a decade as a Consultant Psychiatrist in both the community and hospital, and also hold positions such as Undergraduate Lead and Inpatient Ward Lead Consultant.
My approach is collaborative and evidence-based, combining medication management with psychoeducation and other treatment modalities to promote recovery and resilience. I believe that understanding is the first step toward lasting change, and I take time to ensure my patients feel informed, heard, and empowered throughout their care. Alongside my clinical work, I’ve published and presented internationally on psychiatric education in conferences, reflecting my ongoing commitment to improving understanding and outcomes.
