Doctor Manoj Kumar's approach

Dr Manoj Kumar is a qualified and an internationally experienced Consultant Psychiatrist. He is currently a senior consultant in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
He completed his postgraduate & higher training in Psychiatry at St Marys & Charing Cross Hospital Training program which are affiliated to Imperial College School of Medicine, London. He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2002.

Dr Kumar has considerable experience treating a range of psychiatric illnesses and psychological problems. He has a special interest in treating adults for anxiety disorders, mood disorders (including depressive illnesses, bipolar affective disorder and cyclothymia), psychosis, Phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, stress related problems and adult ADHD.

Dr Kumar considers patient healing to be a collaborative & holistic process. He prescribes medication only when needed for a specific clinical purpose. He has considerable experience using an eclectic range of therapies including motivational enhancement therapy, CBT, brief psychodynamic therapy, schema focused therapy and mindfulness and Art therapy his patients have benefited from.

Dr Kumar is a conscientious, knowledgeable and highly experienced clinician who goes beyond expectation to find the best outcome for his patients.

He enjoys charity work, Art, Literature and Cinema in his spare time.
