Clinical Experience

29 years experience in Psychiatry working in a variety of roles including adult psychiatry, community psychiatry, old age psychiatry, consultation liaison psychiatry and substance misuse. 19 years experience working as a private psychiatrist in outpatient and inpatient settings in Hong Kong.

Doctor Stephen Ng's approach

Dr Stephen Ng is a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist. He completed his Psychiatric training in Hong Kong and undertook his professional examination in the UK. Dr Ng has a medical degree and a Masters in Medical Science from the University of Hong Kong and is a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.

Dr Ng is experienced in managing a wide range of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, bipolar affective disorder, bipolar depression, Adult ADHD, schizophrenia, psychosis, substance misuse and antepartum/postpartum depression.

Dr Ng adopts a patient centred approach with assessment followed by treatment with medications and psychological treatment.
