Dr. Gaurav Kohli is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) UK having gained a CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training)
in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
He is registered with GMC with a current license to practice – 6029901. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK – MRCPsych Membership Number 810969, by examination.

His research has been on “Stability of diagnosis of Autism” at The Winicott Centre, at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

He has special experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders in children and adolescents. He provides treatment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders using biopsychosocial approaches.

In his Consultant career, he has treated 100s of young people with complex mental health problems.
Dr Kohli regularly attend conferences, national and international, to keep himself up to date with trends in Child and Adolescent psychiatry.
He is an expert in ADHD in child and adolescent populations and has a special interest in Autism. He is trained in ADOS 2, and ADI-R. Two leading evidence based diagnostic tools for diagnosing Autism.
He has worked for 12 years as Lead Clinician in CAMHS (independent sector and NHS) and 7 years as Clinical Director in CAMHS (independent sector) and has very good understanding of safeguarding of children and was named Doctor for Child Safeguarding in the organisation for 5 years.

His work has involved appraising other Consultant Psychiatrists. He is multilingual and offers appointments in English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.

Dr. Gaurav Kohli is a highly experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, listed on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) UK with a current license to practice (GMC No. 6029901). He holds a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK (MRCPsych Membership No. 810969).

Dr. Kohli’s research at The Winicott Centre, Manchester Royal Infirmary, focused on the “Stability of Diagnosis of Autism.” He has extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents, employing biopsychosocial approaches tailored to each individual.

Throughout his consultant career, Dr. Kohli has treated hundreds of young people with complex mental health issues. He remains at the forefront of his field by regularly attending national and international conferences on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

An expert in ADHD and with a special interest in Autism, Dr. Kohli is trained in using ADOS-2 and ADI-R, two leading evidence-based diagnostic tools for Autism. He has served as a Lead Clinician in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) for 12 years in both the independent sector and the NHS, and as a Clinical Director in CAMHS for 7 years in the independent sector. His experience includes significant involvement in child safeguarding, having been the named Doctor for Child Safeguarding in his organization for five years.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Kohli has appraised other Consultant Psychiatrists, ensuring high standards of care. Multilingual, he offers appointments in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, making his services accessible to a diverse patient population.
