Jemma Wilkinson's approach
Jemma is in integrative therapist and her work draws on cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused, person centred, psychodynamic and existential methodologies, ensuring each session caters to the client’s personal needs.
Jemma has had extensive training from the University of East London, there obtaining a first class degree in Counselling before completing her postgraduate qualification in Early Interventions in Psychosis at the Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience, Kings College London.
Jemma aims to ensure that each client feels listened to and supported as they explore their past and present challenges. Within this safe space clients are collaboratively supported to distinguish what parts of their life they wish to work through, they are then supported through this process to discover their own solutions which in turn facilitates self-awareness and improves emotional well-being.
Jemma has established and facilitated group therapy for the NHS where she supported children and young people to work through their anxieties. Jemma has had extensive experience in private practice working across a range of challenges such as trauma, bereavement, psychosis.
