Clinical Experience

I am a dedicated member of the BACP, upholding their ethical guidelines and principles. I’m also honoured to hold Accredited Registrant status with the NCPS, boasting over 25 years of professional experience. My passion lies in offering personalized, one-on-one therapy to a diverse clientele, spanning from children aged 3 and above to young adults and grown-ups.

As an Integrative therapist with a deep understanding of psychodynamic principles, I approach my work with a holistic perspective. When working with younger clients, I harness the power of play and observational techniques to create meaningful interventions. Additionally, I provide filial therapeutic sessions, strengthening the bond between parents and children, fostering a nurturing environment.

My extensive experience includes aiding foster parents and foster care agencies, delivering reflective and therapeutic support to help them navigate the complexities of parenting children who have endured childhood trauma. I also conduct training for foster caregivers and their support networks, covering various topics relevant to the children they care for.

With a particular passion for women’s health, I specialize in understanding how the stages of menopause can impact the daily lives, mental health, and emotional well-being of women.

My commitment extends to the LGBTQ+ community, addressing gender and identity concerns, transitions, body image issues, safeguarding, and any other challenges faced by our community members.

My mission is to create a warm and inclusive therapeutic space for all those I serve.

Bio

I am deeply committed to supporting children, young individuals in the care system, and care leavers. My profound understanding of the lasting effects of their childhood experiences, attachment struggles, and complex trauma empowers me to assist them in making positive life choices and achieving their fullest potential.

My passion extends to women’s health concerns, particularly focusing on how the stages of menopause can influence the daily lives, mental well-being, and emotional equilibrium of women.

For many years, I have dedicated myself to helping those affected by issues related to hoarding and home cluttering. These challenges can manifest in various ways and often signify deeper underlying issues for clients. Many individuals grappling with hoarding and cluttering find it difficult to seek assistance and support, often due to feelings of guilt, shame, or embarrassment. I provide a safe and judgment-free haven for all clients dealing with these issues, fostering an environment where they can seek the help they deserve.

Throughout my career as a practitioner, I have established extensive partnerships with both statutory organizations and third sector services. My primary professional background lies in educational settings, mental health services, and social care environments. My goal is to create a warm and nurturing space for all those I work with, ensuring their well-being and growth.
