Nabila El-Zanaty's approach
Nabila is a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT). She acquired a solid foundation in CBT at University College, London (PgDip Low Intensity CBT), Royal Holloway University (PgDip High Intensity CBT) and Brunel University (BSc Psychology), which she has applied and developed in wide range of professional settings.
She is a BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) accredited member.
She has worked in the NHS in both inpatient and community settings, prison services, education systems and charity organisations and has treated clients with a range of psychological difficulties. As a result of her experience she is able to quickly identify an individual’s needs and tailor a highly effective CBT treatment according to them.
The key principles of CBT are to identify and change unhelpful thinking and behaviours and find better ways of coping, thus resulting in improved mood. The approach is very practical and with a strong evidence base, the results are often quick and effective.
Having grown up in a mixed-ethnic environment, Nabila is very passionate about working with people from all backgrounds and can offer a non-judgemental, safe and compassionate therapy space. Nabila’s ethos is: ‘change your thoughts and you’ll change your world’.
